Meet Our Team

Dr Dion Grosser FRACP

Dr Dion Grosser is an Interventional Pulmonologist, with visiting rights to Calvary Wakefield and Ashford Hospitals. He is responsible for initiating the interventional bronchoscopy service at both hospitals and is the leading Interventional Pulmonologist in Private Practice in South Australia.

He has a reputation for being a good diagnostician and for encouraging patients to be actively engaged in their own healthcare decisions.

He is skilled in all areas of Pulmonary Intervention, including advanced bronchoscopy and thoracoscopy procedures. He is a member of several multidisciplinary teams, including those for interstitial lung disease, advanced emphysema and lung cancer and he is always pleased to offer advice to colleagues and patients. He has a specialist interest in minimally invasive procedures, including Zephyr Endobronchial Valves for severe emphysema, which are used to assist in the diagnosis and management of various lung conditions.

He is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia, New Zealand and the European Respiratory Society and as well as being a Fellow of the Australasian College of Physicians – FRACP.

He is an examiner with the FRACP and enjoys teaching other doctors, especially advanced trainees, helping to provide them with the skills necessary to become excellent Respiratory Physicians.

Dr Grosser always makes a comprehensive assessment prior to informing patients, a decision is then arrived at with input from patients as to the management of their pulmonary problems.
