Preparing for a Lung Function Test

  • Please do not wear tight clothing
  • Avoid using puffers and inhalers according to the list of times below unless your doctor has requested otherwise
  • Continue all other medications
  • Avoid smoking
  • Allow time before your appointment for parking, checking in with reception and for emptying your bladder if necessary, toilet facilities are available in ChestCare’s rooms
  • If possible (without causing distressing breathlessness), avoid using the following medications prior to your appointment for lung function assessment within the period specified.
